Why Alcohol Scotland?

Scotland is a beautiful land, famous the world over for it's outstanding scenery. It is also a country reknowned for it's warm welcome and alcohol culture.

In Scotland, unemployment, poverty and the increased use of alcohol appear to go hand-in-hand. The recent outbreaks of the Sars Covid virus has not helped the situation as more of the country's residents find themselves isolated, unable to work or find work and locked down at home. Inevitably, many turn to alcohol for relief.

As a Scot who has seen first hand how alcoholism affects families, I wanted to highlight the problems in Scotland. Generations of social drinking has normalised alcohol consumption within families and social groups. The apparent answer to any problem.
